Windows XP video card/display

I just installed a GeForce FX 5200 into my PC that uses
Windows XP. It didn't seem to be enabled, so I was playing
around with some options under Control Panel's Display
settings and I changed the display to use the GeForce card
and checked both the options beneath it (use as primary
monitor and something else, can't remember). After
rebooting my computer, I get nothing but a black screen--
no matter which port my monitor is plugged into, I get
nothing. Plugging the monitor into one of the video card
ports gets much the Windows loading screen and then black
again. Any thoughts??

Do you have installed Detonator FX driver for Windows XP? It seems you use the generic Windows drivers. My graphic card is FX 5200 too and I have no problem with it. Install Windows XP Service Pack 1a or download latest NVIDIA driver at nvidia.com.
