Windows XP Version

What is the difference between the Windows XP Pro on the
Microsoft website "Item: E85-01011", and the version
found on several other websites "Item: E85-00086". They
appear to be the same product to me but somw sites carry
both and price them differently.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Item: E85-00086 looks to be an OEM version of XP Pro.

Item: E85-01011 *is* the Full Version
Microsoft® Windows XP Professional English North America CD

[[Differences between the OEM and retail version of Windows XP are the
following:
Retail version comes in a fancy box. OEM does not.
Retail version contains a printed manual. OEM comes with an instruction
booklet.
Customers who purchase the retail version are eligible for tech support from
Microsoft.
Retail version offers the option to do a "Quick Install" or a "Clean
Install." OEM version offers the "Clean Install" option only. However,
performing a "Clean Install" is HIGHLY recommended.
The OEM version costs approximately $100-$150 less than the retail
version.]]

Wes,
Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately it still doesnt
help me out. I purchased E85-00086 from BestBuy and it
came in a Retail Box and not the typical OEM package.
Someone suggested to me that the Retail version that is
manufactured by Microsoft uses E85-00086, and third party
companies that manufacture the disk use E85-01011. What
are your thoughts?

Andrew,

If this is the one, it looks to be a full version. :)
