Windows XP V2002 SP2 - Why are hidden directories not showing?

I have set Folder Views to show hidden files and folders. However hidden
folders are not appearing. For example my cookies folder does not show in
explorer, but i can find CD to it from a windows prompt.

Any ideas?

Did you also enable viewing of system folders?

Are you using Windows Explorer Search or navigating in Windows Explorer?

Have you also enabled viewing protected operating system files?
I have the cookies folder available in Documents and Settings\
userid\cookies. You do have administrative privileges?
