Windows XP Updates

I am set up for automatic updates for windows xp home.
There is one critical update that MS keeps sending me
(KB828026) but never installs. I keep getting notices to
install this particular update, I install it however it
never shows up in the updates and shortly I get a new
update message to install the same update but it never
installs. It's driving me nuts, what's going on?
Has anyone else had this problem?

I dont like autoupdate but perhaps you just have to clean out a folder:

Yes, it is the same for me. Don't know what to do. Also,
System Restore says it cannot restore to the date I
selected.
