Windows XP Update stores email messages where?

Where does XP put the email messages when upgrading from
ME?

I checked the normal spot for the .dbx files, but they're
not there. Does the upgrade change the .dbx files into
some kind of archive?

I really need to find them!!!!

Nice article, but the .dbx files are simply gone!!

Could they have been placed in a cabinet file somewhere?
