Windows XP "Turn Off" computer

I was doing some Earthlink updates at my dad's house and now his computer
won't even turn off. What do I do? (It wouldn't even shut down when I
pushed the button to manually turn it off. Please Help! He's not too happy
with me!

He's not too happy with me!

Press and hold the power button down and count to ten while holding it in.
Reboot... It might clear it up. While it's good to help people with their PC
it's best to practice on your own PC first, it will help you avoid people
having deep rooted anger towards you.
