Since the old DST date has come and gone, my computer will not keep the
correct time. It has the correct time zone, has been manually updated and
have tried new time servers to syncronize which works, until the PC is
shutdown. Then the time is incorrect once the machine is turned on. All
patches have been applied so all the regular stuff does not seem to correct
the problem. Does anyone have a fix for this problem?

Thanks
Kevin

How well is the computer keeping time? Go into system bios setup
and take a look. Perhaps it is time to change the CMOS battery.

It is not a battery problem or any of the problems listed below. It is
related to the old DST. The computer worked fine until the April DST came
into effect. The computer is a laptop less than a year old with no problems
with time until that date, but thanks anyway.

OK, if you say so although I would be suspicious if it is losing
time whilst turned off. Just how much is the time off. It would make
sense if it were just a time zone error, i.e., in 1-hour increments
or decrements. Any other time difference would be strange if it were
a DST-conversion issue. We have had a 100% success rate with laptops
running XP-SP2 as well as the few still on XP-SP1

This is a problem that a few people are experiencing since the DST change
with the same problem that I am having that has not been fixed by
conventional methods, ie. batteries etc. The problem started on the exact
day so I do not believe it to be battery problem.
