Windows XP Sysprep SP2 SID

I have used sysprep in the past on Windows 2000 pcs without a problem. All
the settings I change stay changed and it works great for desktop rollouts.
We have moved to XP pc's and I finally got a chance to use Sysprep for XP
sp2. All I really need it to do is wipe the SID and let me reenter the new
product key for each pc after t hey are ghosted back. Unfortuanattly I have
had to many problems. It goofs up the Administrator account, wipes my network
settings and resets many of my changes that I made to the Admnistrator
profile as well as the default profile. I set up profile and then copy that
to the default profile and give everyone access. It changes the pagfeile
back. Turns saystem restore back on. I have used sysprep on XP home a few
years ago, and don't recall these problems on SP1. Im not sure why its so
much of a change from Sysprep for 2000. Thats worked great. I have tried
factory and reseal modes. I have also used the setup manager and there was no
way to add the network info in. Tcp/ip wasn't available. It also wouldn't
prompt for the product key and I left that blank. This was on the non
automated option. Even after doing the setup manager the changes I made still
were set back.
Does anyone have a solution? All help is greatlly appreciated. I have about
30+ pcs to rollout , and another 6 laptops and 25- 30 pcs this summer.
Thanks so much,
Nick

At least some of your problems are explained in this knowledge base article:

The pagefile and system restore options probably aren't affected by this.
What settings do you have in Sysprep.inf for these two items?
