I have Windows XP and just recently I have noticed that
in IE some files ( I think that they are mainly GIF's are
not loading-- I get a blank square and a red x- I did an
IE repair-- cleared cookies and temps--

What can I do to fix this other then do a format? Oh yeah
when I tried to redownload IE I was able to get the set
up file but it won't install because the version on my
computer is newer :(

Hi,

To reload IE6 (and this may resolve your problem), set folder opotions/view
tab in the control panel to see hidden and operating system files. Then
locate the ie.inf file under C:\Windows\Inf, right-click it, choose
"install".
