My PC is running Windows XP and it takes so long when shutdown. However,
it's no problems when running at Safe Mode. Is there any problems with the
OS? Anybody can help me?! Thank a lots!

When you're in safe mode only a limited number of drivers (mouse,
keyboard, etc) are loaded. There's something in normal mode that's
causing the computer to hang. Did you recently install any new
programs/drivers?

When in normal windows close down all the programs you can (anti-
virus, firewall, etc). Then right-click on your Taskbar, click on Task
manager, Applications and see if there are any other programs running.
If so hi-light and click End task. Then try a re-start. If your
computer shuts down faster some running program, or process, was
causing the hang.

You can find out what programs are starting when you start a windows
session by clicking on Start, Run, type in msconfig, click OK, or hit
enter. In the System configuration utility, click on the Startup tab.
Everything that has a check beside it is starting when you start
windows. Uncheck everything you don't want auto-starting. Don't
uncheck something if you don't know what it is. Find out first. Also,
don't uncheck anything from C:Windows\System32 or C:\Windows unless
you're positively sure it's not a necessary Windows file.

After you've made changes and reboot your computer a window will popup
saying there have been changes in the system config. Check: "Don't
show this message or launch the system config again."
