I have upgraded from Windows ME to XP and have the following problem. When I
click start--All programs...... The display does not include all the files I
have available. It seems that the column witdths are too big and I only see
three columns instead of the four I should have to include all programs. How
can I change the column width so that all columns get displayed.

Thanks

You can't change the column width. You can switch the view to a 'scrolling'
single column. This is from XP's help files:

To resolve this issue, enable scrolling in the All Programs list so that it
shows all programs. To enable scrolling, do the following:
1. On the taskbar, right-click Start, and then select Properties.
2. Click the Start Menu tab, and then click Customize.
3. In the Customize Start Menu dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Start menu items, click to select the Scroll Programs check
box.

You can also reorganize into folders to eliminate the need for as many
columns.
