windows xp service pack

Has anybody encountered a problem with add remove
programmes after installing service pack 1 for xp, after
installing from a reliable magazine cover disc, i cannot
acces add remove programes from either the control panel
or the new set programme access and default command from
the menu. Having looked for fixes on the microsoft site i
am none the wiser. Any ideas out there??

Are you presented with an error or does it just not appear?

If you are using Styles XP: Right click the
Desktop/Properties/Themes/choose Windows XP and try again.

If not: Remove Add or Remove Restrictions - Line 208
