Windows XP Service Pack 3

Windows XP Service Pack 3 will be available for manual download from April 29th 2008 - just a couple of days away. There are no big changes or major new features, but plenty of hotfixes a little security tweaks.

I heard from a quite reliable source that service pack 3 can cause anything from "spontaneous reboots to outright system crashes." So I'm not sure weather to download it or not. What do you think?

It was quite a letdown then to actually read that most people do not have a problem.

I've used SP3 on a laptop without any problems either

I cant install Service Pack 3 for Windows XP Pro français. Asking PRORET.ini on my legal installadion disk Windows XP Pro 202. I insert le CD but the installation Service Pack 3 cant find le folder. Where I can find it or what I can do to instal properly the Service Pack 3 on my computer.

Do you have Microsoft Office installed on your computer..propet.ini is on the instalation cd..
