Windows XP Service Pack 2

Help!
I downloaded the SP2, but when I try to open it, I get a message that says
it is not a valid Win32 application.
What does this mean, and what must I do to get the SP2 to open?

Lisa;
One of 2 things are probable:
1. You downloaded the 64 bit version when you need the 32 bit
version.
2. Download is corrupt and you need to download again.
