Windows XP Screen Saver

I installed a non-Microsoft app that caused the screen saver to stop working.
That program has since been uninstalled because it was no longer needed.
The screen saver still does not work.

I've installed SP2 and all suggested Windows Updates, but nothing works.
This is a sole computer, not on a network, no passwords assigned, etc. Just
a home computer.

Can anyone assist in getting my screen savers working once again.

Thanks,
MNF

Go to the Display Properties and turn it on again. Right Click Desktop >
Properties > Screensaver.

I have the same problem. I corrected it by simply creating a shortcut
on the desktop. I think that you could isolate the problem by running
msconfig and un check start up items until your screen saver kicked back in.
