Windows XP screen resolution

I am using Windows XP

Every time I select Paint Shop por 8 icon, the screen goes black and then
come back at a much resude screen resolution
When I exit the PSP Pro 8 all goes back to the proper resolution.
Thi is the only program that does this
Any idea how to cure problem woul be GREATLY appreciated

Look at the compatibility tab. Maybe somewhere along the line you may have changed
the compatibility. I have a program I run in 256 colors and Windows 95. I get this
change of screen whenever I open it. Right-click the program icon, properties,
compatibility tab.
