After Installing windows Xp Professional on laptop , it is
taking long time nearly 5-10 minutes to apply personal
settings and this happen on every logon.I reinstalled the
Windows Xp Professional but same problem is repeating .Can
u pls. provide some solution, how to tackle this problem.
It is very urgent.

What cpu speed, memory size, and are you on a network or is
it standalone?
 
You need to look into the Event Log instead of reinstalling the OS.
