Hello, I have a Toshiba Portege M200 tablet PC from 2004. When I first got
it, it had Windows XP Tablet PC Edition on it. Then, in 2007, I upgraded to
Windows Vista. Now, I did a clean install (booting from CD) back to Windows
XP Professional. Now, I can't use my tablet anymore and I don't have any CD's
for the Tablet PC Edition Software or anything. I was wondering if there was
any downloads that could enable tablet drivers. I do have the product key for
my orignal Windows XP Tablet Edition on the bottom of my PC, though. Or if
they have downloads for Tablet PC Edition if you have the product key. I
cannot go back to Vista because it's horrible on this PC. Thanks!

Problem...

You said it was originally Windows XP Tablet PC Edition.
You decided to upgrade to Windows Vista.

You are okay to there - but then you state the following, "I did a clean
install (booting from CD) back to Windows XP Professional" --> How did you
go 'back' to something that was never installed on the tablet PC in
question?

In reference to your obtaining the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition CD(s) - you
can if you have afriend with a TechNet or MSDN subscription and an ability
to modify the setupp.ini to allow it to accept your product key and burn new
CDs. Maybe if you have a friend with a copy of Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
lying around. Maybe if you contact the manufacturer's of the Tablet PC in
question and see if they will sell you a set of CDs... Otherwise...

If you didn't use the WinXP CD that came with your computer to reinstall
WinXP, you've screwed the pooch.
