Mike

I am trying to rename the users on my home computer. I
got computer from an internet company that went out of
business so it was basically already set up. Right now
it boots up to the user that is an administrator without
letting me choose the accounts. I have added two more
people on the computer but it always boots up to the
first account. I tried to change my user name but that
seems to mess everything up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

You can't change the user name, you must create a new account with the
preferred name. Personally, with an acquired machine, I would just wipe it
and start fresh. You can disable the autologon by going start/run, and enter
"control userpasswords2", then check the line on the first line that
requires users to enter a name and password.
