Windows XP Prof Search - Search is complete. There are no results to display

Hello,

I'm using Windows XP giving a simple search for a file
name with some extension such as '*.txt'. It always give
Search is complete. There are no results to display. Why?
Yes, I'm advance user and I know where to click and type.
Please help.

I gave up searching for text strings with XP's search a long time ago.
Currently using Agent Ransack for this task: www.agentransack.com
