Windows XP Problem

Hi,

We have one serious problem in WinXP. We have one Win2K Domain Controller
with AD,DHCP and DNS (Installed as Active Directory Integrated).

W2k Professional users does't have any problem while connecting to domain
and also shared drives, but for WINXP after logged in to the domain it's
works fine for some time, after some couples of hours user's cannot access
shared drives in the server and again we need to log off and login again
only it will work aftet some hours same problem....

Any solutions for that issue. I Installed all the patches and MCAfee Virus
scanner 7.0. and I edited the group policy local settings ...

"Microsoft Network server: amount of idle time required before suspending
session - default = 15 minutes". setted to 99999.

"Microsoft Network Server: Disconnect clients when logo hours expire".
Setted to Disable

Please let me know if any thing to be change in the registry!!!!

Thomas.

I can`t be sure, but might be a time out problem on the WinXP computer. I
have read something similiar about that in the
microsoft.public.windows.server.general newsgroup

Hi:

Just trying to help, and see if turning on Network Location Awareness
service on the XP box will help or not.

Most articles say this service has no use, but my personal experience is
turning it on will improve the speed of displaying shared folders when I
open up My Network Places.

Good luck,
