Windows XP problem

Lost microsoft word which was replaced by word pad. Restored to a previous
date and got it back. However, when I try to use microsoft word or try to
send an email I get a prompt about not having Small Business 2000, error 1706
no valid source cannot continue. What do I do?
 
Microsoft Word is not reinstalled by System Restore. All you 'got back' was
an icon.
