Windows XP Pro Taskbar programs

I can't see any of the running programs in the Windows
taskbar, it's like the area where the programs are
grouped just dissapeared, I can see the taksbar if I have
at least one toolbar (quickstart, language, etc.) open,
but if I unmark all the toolbars I can't see the taskbar,
only a little line at the bottom of the screen. The
taskbar is unblocked, because I can resize the toolbars,
even if I have a toolbar open I can resize the taskbar,
but if there is not a single toolbar open I can't see the
taskbar or any of the running programs like Excel, Word,
File Manager, etc.

Does anyone have an idea of whats going on?

I don't know if this will help, but I discovered that I
can drag the toolbars from the taskbar to the desktop, I
think that I dragged the running aplications "toolbar"
from the taskbar to the desktop, does anyone haves an
idea how I can restore it to the Windows taskbar?
