Windows XP Pro power options

I was trying different power options and tried to save the changes. I got an
error message stating that "2 revision levels are incompatible" and the
profile could not be save. Then all 4 of the 6 power option profiles that
were present by default dissappeared. Noe I have only "Home Office/Desktop"
and "Portable/Laptop" and cannot save any new profiles. Does anyone know how
I can restore the original profiles and/or save new ones? I tried a System
Restore to a dya earlier than when I first made the changes and there was no
effect. Thanks.

One of the messages some here pointed to a website with MANY information
articles. The following link points the specific FAQ regarding Power Options
being blank. All I did was follow the directions to the registry key
indicated and then delete all the extra blaknk options I found there, leaving
just the originally installed options.
