Windows XP Pro Boot Problems

My Windows XP Pro will not boot. I didn't get errors when I shut down last
night, but this morning, my system gets to the page where the Starting
Windows message appears, and then just hangs there. I tried starting in
various modes including debugging, safe mode, safe mode with command prompt -
all to no avail.

I then booted from my Windows XP CD-ROM, and selected the option to repair
my existing installation. Everything appeard to be going fine, and then my
system rebooted, after which the repair / installation continued.

Now I have an unregmp2.exe - Entry Point Not Found error saying "The
procedure entry point GetIUMS could not be located in the dynamic link
library MSDART.DLL. and the system is hung!

What do I do now?

Hi Cindy
Did you get this problem fixed, if so could you let me know what you did as
mine is doing this now?
Thanks
Stewart

HI!,

Did either of you get this problem resolved? I also had a problem that
required me to re-install XP (after trying system restore, using msconfig to
disable programs at startup, etc). Now I'm at the point where I get the
"unregmp2.exe - Entry Point Not Found error" "The procedure entry point
GetIUMS could not be located in the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL."

(he asked, hopefully ...)
