Under Windows XP Pro. when I right click on My Computer>Properties>General
tab it doesn't show - as my BIOS does - that I have a dual processor system.
Why?

You might need to install/update the motherboard chipset drivers.

Normal and as expected.

Because that's how Microsoft programmed System Properties. It's been
like that since NT4.

Two ways to check that XP Pro sees both processors:

- Open Device Manager and expand the Processors entry
- Open Task Manager and select the Performance tab. You should see a
separate CPU Usage History graph for each processor
