I have purchased an academic version of Win XP Pro on
Ebay. What are the limitations of this version versus the
full retail version. Any licensing problems since this if
for a business and not an educator?

Jonathan --

You cannot use an Academic Version of Windows XP in a business
environment. You must meet the following criteria in order to use it:

Academic Versions of Windows XP are:

--- For noncommercial, educational use only.
--- For qualified educational users only.
--- Non-upgradeable.
--- Non-transferable.
--- Has installation support only.
--- Has a non-perpetual license that is tied to the eligibility of the user.
(If a user is no longer a student or educator, the license is no longer valid)

Your right to use the Academic version of Windows XP ends when
you no longer meet the criteria for using the Academic version of XP.

Greetings --

In order to use an Academic license, one must be either a student
or faculty member at an accredited educational institution. The
license cannot be used for any commercial purposes, and expires once
the student has graduated.

Yes. Such versions are licensed solely to a purchaser who is a student
and identified as such. And is not transferable. It has not been sold
legally to you.
