Windows XP printing in DOS

The OS is XP and we use a dos program for estimates.

I map the printers by using the net use ommand.

ie net use lpt1 \\printserver\printershare.

The end user can print to the specified printer but it
prints starting in the middle of the page and cuts off
lil over half of the page.

I have set the printer, Lexmark 1855, to exact same setup
as another working printer in which other endusers can
print to dos no issues.

This problem is local to this enduser.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No way to set margins some how?
have a look at Printfil.
