Dear Everyone,
I am currently using:
PC: IBM ThinkCenter MT-M 8183-Q4T,
Monitor: IBM ThinkVision L170
OS: Windows XP SP2

and set the Power Managementn option to [Never Turn Off].

Problem
However, after about 15 mintues, my PC still go to sleep without me wanting
it. Not sure if any of you faced such problems? How do I fix them?

Please advise. Thanks.

Sincerely,

Since 'Never Turn Off' is not a supplied Windows power management profile,
check the advanced features and make sure that 'Never Turn Off' really is
configured to never turn off.

The 'Always On' built in power management profile is set up to turn the
monitor off after 20 minutes.

Have you set the harddrive and monitor to never turn off ?

Also if that doesn't work, try checking the BIOS settings. As I have
seen BIOS that has power management settings that can override the
Windows settings. Although the two that I am thinking of are 10 years
old now.

Good point, though I am not aware of any modern BIOS (last 5 years or so)
that provides that functionality. But that doesn't mean that they don't
exist.
