Installation of Windows XP in IBM ThinkCenter PC

Hello everyone.

I'm had some trouble installing windows xp in an IBM ThinkCenter PC.
Initially, some files cannot be read from the disc, and then later on I get
an error message saying that memory cannot be read, or component cannot be
initialized... and the message is different each time. And after several
attempts, when windows was finally set up, a system device appears wrong in
the device manager, even after installing the chipset drivers from IBM, and
in the property page it says "Driver is not loaded for this device" or
something and then "Click Troubleshoot"... something like that. And also the
system automatically restarts when trying to install additional software such
as Microsoft Office 2003, Corel Graphics Suite 12 and Norton System Works
2004, and finally I get the message saying that windows has automatically
recovered from a serious error.

The same windows xp disc works fine in another PC, and everything goes
smoothly during the installation of the operating system as well as
additional software.

Can anyone tell me why this was so difficult in the IBM ThinkCenter PC? Is
there a different procedure for installing windows xp in the IBM ThinkCenter
series?

Shafiee.

Have you asked for help from IBM or the vendor who sold you the computer?
It may be a hardware problem.
