Windows XP on Asus P3V4X

Hi.

Does anyone have experience (good or bad) running Windows XP on a P3V4X?

If it worked, could you please let me know which version of BIOS and 4in1
drivers you are using.

It's an older motherboard and some of the early problems should have been
ironed out by now. If not then your stuck with them as I'm sure no revisions
have been carried out for years.

Hi,

I use it with Win XP Pro SP2 without any problem.
Asus BIOS version 1005 and the latest chipset drivers from Via Arena.
With 256 MB PC133 and GeForce Pro display card and 40GB IBM Hdd.
This machine was first built in 1999 with Win 98.
Clean installed XP Pro on 2002 then updated to SP2 on Nov 2004.
You can still get the update from Asus.com but only upto year 2000 for BIOS
and year 2002 for VIA drivers.
Go to Asus.com, click download/motherboard/slot 1/P3V4X
