Windows XP OEM reinstall

I have done a clean install on a new hard drive. The
hard drive crashed from bad blocks on the drive. I lost
some system information needed to boot the system. I
could in no way recover to Windows from the crash. I
tried to repair from the CD, and it just blew out. I had
updated the Windows program with all of the updates, and
had registered it. What happens to the license on the
reinstall???

Hello,

It should simply ask you to activate the inststallation and you should be
able to do so normally.
