I rebooted my PC and during the "Starting windows screen" BSOD flashed up and
then pc rebooted again. It came up to the screen to select Safe Mode, last
known good config etc. I was not able to select anything, Keyboard would not
work. The default option is boot normally. this happen and flashed bsod and
restarted.
I put in the Windows XP Install CD, when it can up to press any key to boot
fom CD, no keys would work. Rebooted the PC again, entered the Bios, the
keyboard worked here.

So once past the start up check, no keys on keyboard will work and XP just
keep rebooting in aloop.

Try this:
If it is a USB key plug it into a different USB port
If it is a PS2 keyboard check and see if there are any pins bending or
something.
Unplug it and plug it back in correctly in the keyboard slot.
Check if you can turn on and off the NUMLOCK key , CAPSLOCK key
Observe the BIOS behaviour (POST) and see when the computer starts do all
the 3 lights BLINK (numlock , capslock and i think scrolllock)

See if this works

If they both work well in the BIOS then I can presume one of the following
may be causing the problem:

1. Driver - Check if the correct driver for your keyboard is installed.
2. Keyboard settings - Go to Start > Control Panel > Keyboard and check for
the following settings > Hardware
Check if it says "The Device is working
properly"http://www.microsoft.com/wn3/aspx/p...one/newsgroups/settings.xml&sdgloc=en-US&tt=2

Thats what I can think about keyboards.

If you have a HI-FI keyboard such as a wireless keyboard(in this case I
think you got a standard one) then install the drivers which came along with
the CD.

Other than that I think everything should work fine.
