Ken

I am using XP Pro. When I plug in my digital camera in it
is supposed to be treated as a removable drive. I can see
it in device manager under drives. My problem is that it
doesn't show up in the control panel. XP Home recognizes
it just fine and it shows up in the control panel.

Am I missing something with Pro that needs to be set up?

Did you assign it a drive letter? Right click on My Computer, select
Manage. On the following screen, click on Disk Management. It should now
show up on the right hand side of the screen from where you can assign it a
drive letter.

Thank You very much that did it.
Is this a difference between Pro and Home?
I don't recall having to do that with Home.

Does it automatically recognize that drive from here on
then?

Thanks Again
Ken

Should be exactly the same. Sometimes XP will do it for you, sometimes not!
