Windows XP Mouse

When I move the mouse over and icon or file name a black
and white help text box appears describing the icon or
file name. How do I turn this "help feature OFF"?

Steve,

There are 2 settings that you can turn off from Folder Options. Open an
explorer window. Open the Tools menu and select Folder Options... Switch
to the View tab sheet on the newly opened dialog. Find the following 2
options and uncheck them:

'Display file size information in folder tips'
'Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items'

Now click the OK button and tooltips shouldn't appear anymore.
