Windows XP-Microsoft Virtual Machine

When I go to certain web sites that have video clips I get
a message saying I need to install Microsoft Virtual
Machine. I downloaded this software some time ago and
have installed it multiple times but it does not seem
to "stay" for next time. When I click on "yes" to install
VM I get to a Microsoft web site saying the VM is no
longer available. Then it cancels me out of the original
web page I was trying to open since I don't have the VM to
view the video.

My daughter has the exact same machine and software as I
do and she never gets this error.

Anyone else having had this problem? Did you find a fix
for it? Any tips would be most appreciated.
