If you've typed this "suchost.exe.mdmp" correctly, your computer is
infected with a virus. You need to scan with a current version (not
earlier than 2004) antivirus using updated definitions in Safe Mode. If
you do not have one installed (oh, why not?) then start with
TrendMicro's Sysclean:

TrendMicro's Sysclean is an extensive antivirus tool which has the
advantage of not needing to be installed. It requires two parts - the
scanning engine and the virus pattern files. Delete all Temporary and
Temporary Internet Files before running the program.

1. Create a new folder on your Desktop or the C: drive named something
useful like "Sysclean".
2. Go here and download the two parts of the program to that folder:

http://www.trendmicro.com/download/dcs.asp - Sysclean
http://www.trendmicro.com/download/pattern.asp - virus pattern files

The pattern files will be zipped - extract them with your unzipper (like
WinZip) or if you have XP, you can just open the folder. You need to
put the extracted files in the Sysclean folder you made.

3. Restart your computer in Safe Mode. Get into Safe Mode by repeatedly
tapping the F8 key as the computer is starting up to get to the proper
menu.
4. Go to the Sysclean folder you made and double-click on sysclean.com.
Start the scan. After the scan is finished, look at the log. You may
need to make a note of where any viruses were found if they were not
able to be removed so you can manually delete them.

After you've done your scan with Sysclean, get a full-featured av,
install it, update it, and do a thorough scan in Safe Mode. Then
continue your cleaning by scanning for non-viral malware with free
programs like Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. Update those
programs and scan in Safe Mode.

Hi,

I've been getting exactly the same error as you for a while now. It's
intermittent, and while researching the issue (on google!) I came across a
website which said that the Feb 2005 windows updates were to blame, and that
Microsoft know about the problem and are working on it. Click on 'send' when
you get the fault, and you should be given the opportunity to provide them
with more info. I uninstalled the Feb 2005 updates (all 9 of them) about a
week
ago and haven't had the problem since. Click on 'add/remove programs' on
your control panel, click on 'show updates' at the top of the window, and
scroll down to 'windows updates' where you can uninstall them. Take a 'system
restore' point prior to doing this incase you want to undo your actions.
You'll be asked to restart after some of the installations.

But keep your virus defns up-to-date and rule out any virus activity first
and follow the other helpful advice already posted. Then wait for Microsoft
to fix the problem, or buy a mac instead :)

Hope this helps.
