Windows XP Media Player

There is no sound coming from my speakers. This happened a coupld of days ago. I uninstalled the Player and Reinstalled it and still here no sound. Is there anything else I should do

What type machine are you using? What type of Sound card?
How much memory (RAM)?

This does have to do with sound card and it's drivers and
resources.
 
have you checked to see if the plug is fully pushed into
the output jack? And, that it is the right jack?

Have you tried control panel--administrative tools--services and checked
Windows audio??
