Windows XP Media Center Edition: Problem displaying other languages on web pages

Having problem displaying other languages on the web pages
in the English version of Windows XP Media Center Edition
operating system.

In Microsoft Internet Explorer, trying to view Chinese
language web sites, it displays non-chinese characters. so,
choose "encoding" from the file menu, then choose "chinese
traditional(big5)", then it pops-up a window asking for
Windows XP Profersional SP1 disc. But I don't have it.

The windows media center edition computer is a Gateway
brand pc. It comes with only a DVD disc containing the
Windows XP for reinstalling the operating system. I tried
to put that DVD disc in, and then click "ok" on the pop-up
window asking for the windows xp pro sp1 disc. But it
didn't work.

So, what can i do to make the Windows Media Center Edition
computer to display other languages correctly on the web pages?
