Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004

Can I get Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004, I mean
just the OS (CD). I heard you have to buy the whole
system. If I can't, is it ever going to be available in
the future? Thank you.......
 
Microsoft has made no plans to just sell MCE as an OS. you can only but it
on new PC's.
 
No you can't buy it separate. Who knows if it will be available as a
stand-alone. My guess is no, cause it requires certain hardware to run
correctly. It would be a nightmare if normal users try to install it on a
normal pc. I think they did it this way so they make sure this version of
windows isn't run on a system that's not designed for it.
