Windows XP Media Center 2005

Some DVD burning questions:
1. How do I choose a recording speed such as SP or SLP as on a stand-alone
DVD burner so as to affect the quality of and amount of media I can burn to
the DVD?
2. Is it necessary and/or possible to finalize a DVD burned onto a DVD +/-R
so it can be played in any other DVD player? Again, this is the procedure
I've learned to use on a stand-alone burner.
3. Finally, if I use a DVD RW, do I need to treat it in any specific manner
in order to be able to view it on other DVD players?
Thanks.

Windows XP Media Center 2005 is my DVD recording software. I have searched it
for answers to the questions above and have not found the answers. Can you
direct me elsewhere?

Thank you.
