Windows XP logon desktop

Andrew

I have changed my Windows XP system set to disable the Welcome screen
and require CTRL-ALT-DEL to log on. My logon screen doesn't look the
way I want it to. This is how it looks now:

I've tried using TweakUI to copy my settings for metrics and fonts,
animations, colors, etc. to the logon desktop, but that doesn't change
the button face, input boxes, or the title bar.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Mine looks just as you'd like yours to. Best I can I think of is that you
need to use the Classic Windows theme such as I do. None of my dialogs boxes,
etc. have the Windows XP look (based on the XP theme).

Ctrl Panel > Display > Themes

Ok.. it appears I read that backward. You want the Windows XP theme.. rounded
corners, etc. Make sure you have the XP theme selected.

Sorry about the triple post.. perhaps I should've started with my caffine

the Display cpl.

Go to Start -> Run and enter services.msc in the Open box.
Note: You can also access the Services console through Control
Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services.
In the Services console, scroll down to Themes.
Make sure it's started and its startup type is set to
Automatic.
Reboot to see if it fixes the problem.

If this doesn't help, check in Control Panel -> Display ->
Themes to see if the Windows XP theme is listed as an option.
If not, you might want to check these articles,
