I want to setup windows xp so that when it loads, it doesn't load
automatically as admin. I want that option screen to select who to log in
as, how do i do that?

dear 'donkee'
have you create any user accounts?

ctrl panel..user accounts..

Hi Donkee,

How many user accounts are available in the system?
Are the other accounts password protected?
Did you configure automatic logon previously?

I just reinstalled windows xp and all im trying to do is not let windows
logon automatically as adminitrator. I have set up an account for me and my
father, however everytime i start up my pc, windows logs on automaticaally as
admin and i have to log out all the time to log into my own account and its
quite annoying. The two accounts that I set up aren't password protected. i
think there are 5 accounts available and i used up 2, and no i did not
configure it to logon automatically, it did it all by itself. Thanks

Hi Donkee,

See if this helps:

Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type control
userpasswords2, and then click OK. In the dialog box that appears, enable
Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer check box,
and then click OK.

BINGO, it worked. Thanks a lot for your help, its exactly what i was looking
for. I know I can count on you guys for acurate problem solving in the future
