Windows XP installed

Just installed XP it is working well but says no sound
card installed - How do you activate or find sound card
that is there

restart. lay on the control- alt -delete keys to get to bios. check that
audio is enabled.

Try this:

Start>Run - then type in "services.msc" - without the quotes. Scroll down the list until you find 'Windows Audio' - make sure it has been started. If not, right click on it and select 'Start'. Have a look in the 'Startup Type' column - that Service should be set to 'Automatic'. If this isn't the case, right click on it, select Properties and then make sure that the drop down menu next to 'Startup Type:' is set to 'Automatic'. If you have to change this setting, you will have to reboot your PC for the changes to become effective.
