Windows XP home won't reboot

Hello,
Just wondering if anybody has encountered a booting
problem with Xp home edition. Is there a way to recover
the system without loosing all the works and data you have
on yor PC? When i spoke to some suuport for my laptop the
only solution they could suggest me is to use the recover
disk for the system but this apparently won't recover the
data i have on the machine.

I agree with Reg, but there's another possibility. You
can download a great utility at
http://www.answersthatwork.com/Downright_pages/downrights_
bootdisks.htm that will allow you to build a simple
Windows XP (or other) boot diskette. You may have to
modify the default boot.ini, but it works great and it's
quick to set up. Best of luck.
