I use a laptop and a tower with a local wireless network at home. Each one
uses XP. I would like to use programs and data from one machine on both. For
example I would like to enter Quicken data into one machine from the other.
XP Home does not allow this. Does XP Pro allow this?

Peter.

Basically it gives u more security options than Home edition things like file
encryption networking options However thsi not does mean that Home is not
secure it just gives u more contol of ur OS

The OS on each workstation is largely irrelevant. I don't believe
Quicken has the capability of functioning in a client/server mode. To
be sure, ask Intuit, Quicken's manufacturer. The same would apply to
any other applications, ask their respective manufacturers how to use
their products in a client/server mode or environment.
