Windows XP Home Start up Problem

When I start pc the start bar and icons do not appear, I can get the task
manager up but cannot get to the restore to rectify the fault, any ideas?

Hi Steve,

This generally has to do with display drivers. From here, you can either
end the process for explorer.exe and restart it via the Task Manager or run
line 164:

Restore Taskbar and Desktop to Default Functionality (Line 164)

Kelly Thank You so much I have been searching for weeks to find out how to
get my task manager back..It was saying disabled by adminastrater. I am the
person. didnt know what i did thank you again!

Thanks again Kelly it was a firends pc, and we reloaded windows kp on and it
is fine.
