WINDOWS XP HOME SHUTDOWN

WHILE BOOTING UP IN WINDOWS XP HOME THE PC JUST SHUTOWN
UPON REACHING THE SECTION WHERE IT STATE IT IS PREPARING
NETWORK CONNECTIONS. THIS HAPPEN AFTER I TRY TO INSTALL A
ADSL SOFTWARE FROM SPEEDSTREAM, BUT HALF WAY THROUGH IT
HANG. I WAS USING THE CORRECT VERSION SUPPLY BY THE VENDOR.
I TRY TO PRESS ALT-CTRL-DEL BUT NO ACTION. SO I RESTART
AND THE ABOVE MENTIONS HAPPEN. I CAN'T EVEN GET TO THE
DESKTOP LET SO AS TO TRY TO USE THE RESTORE SYSTEM. ANYONE
WHO CAN HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

Have you tried accessing System Restore from Safe Mode? (press the F8 key
after booting your system, but BEFORE the Windows logo shows)
 
Try booting into Safe Mode. Press F8 while the computer boots. If you are
able to get into Safe Mode, try doing a system restore.

And PLEASE stop writing in all caps. It's hard to read and considered
shouting.
