I have a home network with DSL service coming through a 2Wire router that is
about 2 years old. I have three computers on the network connected through
wireless cards One of the computers is a print server with two printer hung
off of it. I have just tried to add a new Dell 700m laptop and cannot get
access between the computers or access from the 700m to the printers. I used
the Home Network Wizard on the 700m and have access to the internet and my
other computers acknowledge that the 700m is in the Workgroup. However, when
I try to view the Workbook computers from the 700m I get the message:

" Mshome is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of the server to find out if you
have access permission. The list of servers for this workgroup is not
currently available."

Any suggestions on how to get permission for the 700m? Thanks.

Kevin,

Does the laptop have needed network components and services?

A frequent cause of this sort of problem is a misconfigured or overlooked
personal firewall.

Also check for a browser conflict. Run browstat from the laptop, and from the
other computers, and compare results.
