Windows XP Home logs on then logs of real quick

Hello, I have XP Home , last night I shut down my
computer, and when i turned it back on about 2 hours
later, It took me to the regular Welcome Login screen i
typed in my password, and it logged in for half a second,
letting me see just my background, then it said "Saving
settings" then it logged me back off, but It will let me
into safe mode just fine, as solutions how it will let me
in normally?
